Artist Biography - Mike Sleeper

Mike Sleeper’s photographs are a dynamic exploration of the inter-relationship between land, water and sky.  His images  capture sand dunes in snow, the beach just before a Spring squall, the ocean in the gloaming five minutes before sunrise or a salt marsh moments before a threatening storm.  We are reminded of where we have been or would want to go.  Mike’s subject matter and luminescent colors have been dramatically reinterpreted as exquisite giclee prints.

He began making photographs at the early age of thirteen.  After graduating from Boston College, he became a commercial  photographer, eventually traveling worldwide for numerous corporate clients.  In time, he turned his attention to more personal work, concentrating primarily on landscapes and portraiture.  His portfolio exhibits a wide range of fine art photography.

Mike has had a number of solo exhibitions of his work and won many best of show awards on the South Shore of Boston, most notably the North River Arts Festival, Duxbury Arts Association Summer Show,  Pembroke Arts Festival and Plymouth Art Guild.
